Indian Cricket Team has been announced for 3 T20s & first 3 ODIs:
ODI squad:
MS Dhoni (captain), R Ashwin, Stuart Binny, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Axar Patel, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Mohit Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Gurkeerat Mann, Amit Mishra

T20I squad:

As speculations, MS Dhoni will lead Team India for the entire series. However the notable name that is missing from the announced squad is Jaddu . He needs to work on his game harder. However 2 new faces have been included into the T20s & ODIs. S Arvind in T20 & Gurkeerat Singh Mann in ODIs. However the inclusion of Gurkeerat singh Mann is thoroughly as his recent all-round ability & performance against Aus A & Bangladesh A. However, he has started his career as Wicket keeper batsman for Team Punjab in Ranji Trophy. Who can play briskly specially in shorter format of this game. S Arvind was in the corridor for past few years. However, he wasn’t fit for last few years.

Team South Africa is coming to India for 3 T20s, 5 ODIs & 4 Test matches. This will be a great series for sure!

We can hope for the best as the ranji trophy is going to begin soon in India. We can find few more talent such as Sanju Samson, Rishi Dhawan, Kuldeep Yaadav, Sarfaraz Khan etc... Lets begin the cricket once again!

Gulmarg : A tale to tell

A place, which is a pefect destination of tourism, specially for newly married couple. However, the way touring is increasing int he valley, it’s tough to imagine the situation of “Heaven on Earth”. Though, if you want to visit the place, which is gaining popularity like anything. Visit Gulamarg soon. There are few reasons for popularity of tourism in Gulamrg. One of them  is peaceful valley as well few super hit movies which had been shot in Gulmarg. The few names are as:
·         Aap ki kasam
·         Junglee (You remember the song “Yahoo- koi mujhe junglee kahe”)
·         Silsila
·         Kabhi Kabhi
·         Lamha
·         Lakshya
·         Lamhaa
·         Bhag milkha bhag
·         Rockstar
·         Student of the year
·         Jab tak hai jaan
·         Yeh jawaani hai deewani
·         Haider
·         Highway & list goes on...
Anyway Jammu and Kashmir  is a dream place for Bollywood. Hundreds of movies have been shot in this region in past 6 decades. However, the terrorism, increasing in commercialisaton & other related activities are one the few obstraction towards the serenity of Gulamrg.
Nevertheless, the tourism has been blossom to the so called “Heaven on Earth” due to Bollywood’s exposure of untouched & virgin Gulamrg. Now, Gulmarg is a well known name in the world. Due to  the increase in tourism, the concern hospitality industry is roaring & the number of  hotel in Gulmarg has boomed too. That improved the all over condition of the valley.
Let’s go through the history of Gulmarg for our info. So that we can relate ourselves more with the city of heaven.
The Gulamarg was named as Gaurimarg, which is in honour of Hindu goddess Parvati. Who is wife of Lord Shiva &  mother of Lord Ganesh & Karthik. In 16th century, the name had been changed to Gulamarg by Sultan Yusuf Shah in 16th century. Even in 20th century. The British govt servants used to visit this place to escape the summer from North India. Even they created the 3 golf courses includung one specifically for women as they love to play golf. One of the three gof course that had been established by brithish servants still survives & popular as its world’s highest golf course at 8690 ft high from sea level. Also, the British rulers established a ski club too. However post British rule, the valley had seen blood bath due to terrorism & related stuff.
Let’s have some info about present scenario of Gulmarg. As per census 2011, there were total 77 households consists the population of 1965 individuals. The worse part of the census is only 8 females & o children aged 0-8 were the part of 1965. However, the positive & the best part was their literacy that is 99.64% in 2011 census. This is super as against of 66.67% of state literacy ratio with 100% female literacy. Though, the number of females was not the huge as mentioned only 8.

Out of all the situation this place is an awesome destination for such persons who are looking for serenity & the local govt is working towards inspire the local authorities to encourage the tourism.

Gulmarg : A place to redefine LIFE

When I am talking about redefine LIFE. It means the stress free life. What could be better to battle with your stress at 8830 ft from the sea level. Where you can find the avg weather is max 11.6 degrees & a 2.1 degree minimum (The average has taken for an year). What else & where you want to release your uncontrolled stress. Just imagine, a pollution free climate & blessed with snow fall. I am sure the half of the stress could have been gone by reading this line.

Gulmarg is a small town, which is situated in “Jammu-Kashmir”.  The population of the city is only 1900+. You can imagine, how peaceful this place will be. I am sure you were thinking about your stay, don’t worry at all. There are many luxurious suite available for stay. Even you can find so many Hotel in gulmarg to spend a night or two. So you must not think about stay issue, moreover, can think about the heaven on earth.
Stress kills people psychologically. Which proved more dangerous than even EBOLA. Even doctor says or advised to visit hill stations once in a year, so that one can reinvent himself. Also, it’s always said that better to spend money to travel to such places which will keep one’s distance from the doctor. What else one can wish. No doctor expenses due to stress.
Especially nowadays, it’s easy to get  Luxurious suiteor hotel in gulmarg. Thanks to Google as well other channel partners of google as well e-commerce websites, who acts as a booking agent. Will give you a 360 degree view of the suite/hotel to ensure that you are not being cheated. What else a person can need, when he is running from stress. Book a hotel online & visit the city of gulmarg. It was not so easy ever  than today.
Gulmarg is a cup shaped valley that is 56 kilometers from the state capital Srinagar. During winters entire valley covered with snow, which actually helps to grow the kind of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter-cups. These flowers are not only grown in winter also in summer. These flowers are the center of attraction for local visitors.
There are several reasons why people visit gulmarg. Of course, reinvent the taste of life. Apart from this,
·         Gulmarg has been rated by CNN international as Asia’s 7th best ski destination.
·         Gulmarg Gandola, is the one of the highest cable cars in the world.
·         Gulmarg was being mooted for 2010 winter commonwealth games
·         The world famous Maharin temple of Gulmarg
There is another reason, why people can get their life back. Simple, we all love Bollywood cinemas & “n” number of movies have been shot in Gulmarg. The movies like, Bobby, Yeh Jawani hai Deewani, Highway, Haider, Phantom etc movie's shooting have been done here. Also, there is a hut named as Bobby Hut & the reason will amaze you. In this hut, the shooting of a scene for the movie Bobby has been shot.

There is a very famous line for Kashmir, “Agar firdaus ba ruay zami ast, ami asto, ami asto, ami ast”. It means, if there is a heaven on earth, it’s here, it’s here. It’s here!

IPL Verdict & A mixed day in Indian cricket

Today started with a fear/sacredness in the eyes of the Indian cricket administrator as well as fans. The Even entire world’s media  were waiting des [irately for the IPL Verdcit by LODHA COMMITTEE. As, we all were aware that today Lodha committee will share their report as well final decision today.
In between, India had to play Zimbabwe in 3rd ODI where if they win, then it will be a clean sweep by visitors as well ensure that they will be the No 2 team for a while. As day proceeds, we slowly got to know how the day will take shape.
Here is justice Lodha’s final decision:
  1. ·         Raj Kundra & Gurunath Meiyappan has been suspended from taking participate/involve in any format of cricket match. The ban/suspension starts from today itself from the time/date of this order.
  2. ·         Rajasthan Royals & Chennai Super Kings’ owners have been suspended for 2 years from Indian Premier League
  3. ·         Players are free to play for other teams & franchises, that can be sold off by BCCI/IPL

We will sure miss the spirit of these 2 teams. As once we heard always before every IPL starts, “All the team fight with each other to play with CSK in semi & Finals (most of the times).
Remember, Lodha Committee clears that Players would be unaffected from this verdict. They can’t be victimized. So, it’s my request to all cricket lovers that please don’t troll players. If you want you are free to do with the 2 persons who were banned from taking participate in cricket for life long.
Remember, we all love IPL & want to see IPL every year. So, it’s always good to support players because the culprits were the highest authority who had the power & players are just part of their employment (in IPL’s context).
Between, the evening ends with good news that India won the match against Zimbabwe & clean sweep the ODI. Now the rest of the 2 T20s will be on 17th & 19th of July 2015. Will be lead by Ajinkya Rahane.
I hope now anyone will think twice before involving into illegal betting. Let’s close the chapter here only & wish for a clean cricket here on….

Amen… Summa Amen!!!

The beginning of Team India

13th July 2002 was the day, when actually the real team India was born. It was an amateur condition under a mature & aggressive captain. I still remember I was only 16 then. I went to my Nana’s place to watch this match. I remember that time; if you score 250+ runs, 80% chances that you will win the match & it was 325. It was a massive score.
2nd inns was started (I am not focusing on what happened in 1st inns), Ganguly & Sehwag started briskly.  Especially Ganguly was in full fledge. His shots were all around the park. Unfortunately he departed shortly the partnership crossed 100+ mark within 14 overs & just after 21 overs India were 146/5. There were 2 players in the middle, named as Md kaif & yuvraj Singh. Both played & won U19 world cup together in 1998. Nobody ever thought that India can make it here & I am sure 90% of TV sets & radio could have been switched off by then. However my nana ji had faith in these 2 players as he always believed that “cricket is a game of uncertainty” & a big fan of Australian cricket. So we know why he kept his believe for Indian team.
After that what happened was the history. I remember in one of the interview Kaif told that when he won the match & the way Ganguly jumped on him. It could have been a serious damage to him. Also, his mom called & asked about how he is as she was scared on the things happened on field.
It was actually the last ball when this match was recorded in to the world cricket & Indian team changed to TEAM INDIA. Ganguly waved his T-shirt & show the world that we are no more a team who wins matches in India/asia subcontinent only.

We still remember this match for Ganguly’s showmanship. & I am sure we will not forget this day ever. After 25th June 1983, if Indians were affected or related themselves to patriotism was 13th of July 2002.
I cherished the every moment of the match & I will forever J

MSD – A tale to tell

When I first thought to start writing about a piece on MSD. I was not sure that what to start from. But I am really thankful to Chetan Sharma & Manoj Prabhakar who actually provoked me to write this blog.
I really amazed how soon we forget positives of a person who is still the only ONE captain to win all ICC trophies under his captaincy. Even the captains of mighty Australia have not achieved the feat. Not only this, he supported the team members when they are in the worst form of their life. Live example is Rohit Sharma, who has owned a world record of 2 double centuries in ODIs. Even in some extent Jadeja, who is still one of the best all rounder in world cricket. (I am saying in the respect of such incident as I know that the ALLROUNDERS are not accepted in India, particularly because either you have to be a batsmanor bowler). Whatever someone says, in reality we have An allrounder today with Indian team, which we were searching since the great Kapil Dev retired from the world of cricket.
MSD’s achievement in small stats:
  • ·         First Indian captain to win T20 world cup (The inaugural one)
  • ·         First Indian captain to win a triangular series in Australia in 2008
  • ·         First Indian captain to win Man of the match in world cup finals 2011
  • ·         First Indian captain to win a champion’s trophy in 2013 (Ganguly’s team was joint winner with Sri Lanka)
  • ·         First Indian wicketkeeper to lead India in Test/ODI/T20 ever
  • ·         He is the only player in world cricket who represents one franchise for more than 100+ matches as captain in T20 format & many more...

If I will start sharing the stats of his wicket keeping records than I must say, no other Indian wicket keepers are even half of MSD’s stature.
I accept that it’s tough to digest a series loss against a team like Bangladesh and I am sure even Dhoni & team is more affected then us. We must remember that cricket might be a passion or sport for us. However, for them, it’s the bread & butter. They need to keep performing well to stay in the hunt for a better life style.
I am dead against of changing captain at this moment. When time is not good, the most experience person should take the reign & play the show. None other than MSD can do this at this moment. The next experience & capable player is Kohli. Who is already suffering from bad form. One can imagine the guy who is a run machine in ODIs, unable to score a 50 in past 10 consecutive ODI inns & have bad anger management. Though I am sure, he is THE capable person to handle the team once the right team will come. However, I am sure that right team is not NOW.
The ex cricketers, who all are opposing MSD as a captain or player. They were a mediocre player of their era. I can see players like Sourav Ganguly, Kapil Dev, Aliester Cook, Michael Vaughan, Yashpal Sharma is supporting MSD. He must be our captain in a shorter format as he is no more active in Tests.
We can’t miss a player like MSD due to a series lost. We player worse than this in past & I am sure the team might play worse than this in future too. However, I am a firm believer in MSD & can say we will come back as a much stronger team than ever. Keep faith in MSD & team.

FYI

MSD is currently A captain of the Indian ODI/T20 team. Also A captain of Chennai Super Kings (A T20 franchise). A proud father of Ziva, Husband of Sakshi, son of Mrs & Mr Pan Singh Dhoni.

Chal Chale with Indian Carnival....!

The Great Indian Carnival is back once again with lots of new things apart from the controversies that actually tore the faith of Indian cum global audience last time. The carnival ‘aka’ IPL 8 is starting from 8th April 2015 onwards till 24th May 2015.

I must say, the World Cup events can only match up the spirit of The Indian Premier League; you love it or hate it. But for sure you can’t ignore it. Even I was told that how my friend’s grand mom was querying about her favourite team’s performance during last summer. And for sure, it’s not the first instance when I heard stories like that. Even girls (generally don’t find interest in the game of bat & ball ‘known as’ cricket) like this tournament a lot, we can experience it through their sheer presence in stadium with painted face to show support for their favourite teams.

However let’s talk about the changes in team combination from last year. We won’t see players like Jayawardane, Sangakkara, Hales, Pujara, Samuels, Parnell, Dilshan, Munaf patel, Ajantha Mendis, Venugpal rao, David Hussey, Rampaul, Hodge, Bollinger, RP Singh, Jogindar Sharma, Ashok Maneria, Manpreet Juneja, & many more international stars, who have not been bought by any of the franchisee.

Let’s see some important changes in team line ups too, with reference to internal transfer as well IPL auction such as:
Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan (now DD, earlier RCB), Dinesh Karthik (now RCB, earlier DD), Parthiv Patel ( RCB to MI), Micheal Hussey (MI to CSK), Sammy (Sunrisers to RCB), Praveen kumar (MI to SRH), KP (DD to SRH), Irfan pathan (SRH to CSK) & many more players.

Let’s see, any changes in Team Coaches, if any :
Ricky Ponting: MI (Replaced John Wright). Rest are fine with their trusted warriors & tuning their new team with the help of them.

Now we must see, who all are captain which franchisee:
  1. CSK: MS Dhoni
  2. KKR: Gautam Gambhir
  3. DD: JP Duiminy (Replace KP)
  4. KXIP: George Bailey
  5. MI: Rohit Sharma
  6. RCB: Virat Kohli
  7. Rajasthan Royals: Shane Watson
  8. SRH: David Warner (Replaced Darren Sammy)

Now, we must see who all opted out of IPL 8. Kevin Peterson is the only person, who mutually left SRH this season to pursue his career in international cricket with England. Michael Starc is also unavailable for 2-3 weeks for RCB due to injury, which is a big setback for them as this guy just won the man of the series in CWC15.

So, what are we waiting for... Chal Chale with Indian Carnival....

Cricket World Cup League Round update

Actually #CWC15 started before 14th Feb 2015. It was a year ago when when entire world got to know that 15th Feb 2015 is an historical day in Indo Pak history as these two teams will play together on one day later on 1st day of #CWC15 championship. That game actually set the tone of the world cup. However It was way before starting of the series.
First 4 matches were won by team batted first and scored 300+. The major setback was made by Ireland who won against the mighty West Indies by their standards & it ends with Bangladesh, who knocked out England with some style.
The major set back came to scene from Team A, where England knocked out by Bangladesh & Ireland just gave few sleepless nights to West Indies. However Group B was lucky enough to escape any type of setback.
The Eight teams that qualified to the World cup Quarter Finals are as:
Team A: Newzealand, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh
Team B: India, South Africa, Pakistan, West Indies
So, India & Newzealand from their sides are unbeaten in league matches. Few records have been broken in this world cup. Such as (In India’s context):
1 First time any team in world cup matches bowled out entire team fir 6 consecutive times.
2 Under MSD, Now India won 10 matches consecutively. Only Ricky Ponting is ahead with 24 wins.
3 MSD now India’s most successful captain in ODIs in terms of winning in foreign soil.
4 MSD is India’s most successful WK. He surpasses Kiran More who had 18 dismissals.
Apart from these there are several records that have been broken in this #CWC15. I.e.,
1 Sangakakra is the only batsman & Batsman WK in ODI who scored 4 consecutive centuries in ODI as well in the world cup.
2 ABD holds the record for fastest 150 in ODI against WI in this CWC15.
3 First 200+ runs by individual in this world cup also, the fastest in 138 balls in same inns by Gayle.
4 First time in CWC history, 3 players scored back to back 100s. The names of players are as follows: Sangakkara, Mehamadullah Riyadh & Brendan Taylor
If I will start mentioning the records, then this CWC15 will be remembered for record breaking world cup.
My next write up will be on SEMI FINALists J

Gayle_Storm

Chris Gayle, name is enough to create fear in competitor’s bowling line up. He is the only person at present in this universe that is capable of scoring double century in T20. I know you will say that I am crazy. Yea I am crazy. I was at office when he played an immortal inns of 175* against pune warriors in Bangalore for RCB. I watched that inns 1000 times. It was just amazing memories that is back to 2013.
Now, we must talk about today, do we remember the date? 24th February. Do you think cricket lovers will forget today’s date ever specially in India when in back 2010 The God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar scored 200* against South Africa. That was an impossible journey before. We can say an unbelievable dream that got complete on that. Same after 5 years, first time in World cup history Christopher Henry Gayle scored 215 off 147 balls. Do you know that he completes his 50 in 54 balls, next  50 in 51 balls & rest 115 (including the ball, he got out) in 42 balls. It’s an insane inns against poor Zimbabwe. They did really very well until 40th over, when WI was 220+ only. But last 10 overs went for 150+ runs. You have to understand one thing that pitch was full of runs but not an even wicket. Especially the way Smith got bowled in 2nd ball of the day and Samuels’ peaceful century.  Gayle completes 200 in 138 balls & his partner on other end scored century on 143 balls. It was the brutality of Gayle on Zimbabwe then an easy pitch.
It might be the anger on WICB’s head Cameroon, who RT a tweet knowingly, which mentioned that Gayle must not be in team for his past performance. However, after lots of criticism he tweets sorry about his last RT. But you must ask Zimbabwe, who got hurt more than anyone from that incident. I think that incident woke up the giant devil inside a sleepy & slow Gayle.
Ok.  Let me ask one Question, which portion of the world is happier to see Gayle storm most. If you think its Jamaica, which is the place Gayle belongs to. Then you are wrong. It’s Namma Bengalooru. Who are more than happy to see Gayle is scoring heavily and ruthlessly.
However Gayle belongs to few people in this earth, for whom this earth is a global village. He represents approx each & every T20 tournament one can imagine except New Zealand. He is a local layer of Australia, India then WI.
Don’t surprise guys, if you can listen/hear that he scored 200 in T20, because IPL 8 is going to start in less than 45 days.
Till then let’s hope the Gayle storm will not hit Team India’s caravan during their clash on 6th March 2015. Amen J
